Soap recycling - level B1

Hotels throw away millions of soap bars every week. Sean Seepler’s company, Clean the World, takes those used bars and recycles them. Sean started Clean the World because he wanted to help the environment and save lives.

The soap is collected  from hotels all over the world. The recycling process starts in the factory where a large machine cleans the dirt and hair off the old soap. The machine changes all the different sized soap bars into noodles. The nuddles are mixed with water, heated and then formed into a long bar. The bar is then being cut into smaller pieces.

Clean the World also recycles other things from hotels, like plastic bottles. They are a good example of how a business can help the environment and people at the same time.
